A George Harrison Tribute Tape by recipients of The DarkHorse Bulletin

It had to start somewhere...

The idea of a George Harrison Tribute Tape by the DarkHorse Mailing List first sprung up in Volume Thirty (October 27, 1997) of The DarkHorse Bulletin. Below is a copy of the now-legendary entry.
From: MirrorTime@aol.com

Hi Mr. H and Everybody,
An idea I had that we all could start kicking around...Maybe we
could make a cassette of Harrison covers that Darkhorse members have done.
I for one have probably 10 songs ready to go on cassette. We do have to
figure out how to do this and see if anybody is willing to Make a master
and run copies off. If no one else is interested I could do it. I just
think it would be a great to share or mutual appreciation for George.
Anybody else have any ideas?
Thanx, Dean
PS. We have to think of a cover for the tape too.
It didn't take long at all before people started volunteering their services for the tape.

At the moment, because the tape's still very much in the "planning" stages, the above list is subject to change, and isn't in any way binding. It doesn't matter if you change your mind and decide to do another song, so long as you let me know so I can change the list accordingly.

If you'd like some help learning the chords to a song you'd like to perform, check this site out: The Beatles Tablature Page.

If your name's not on the list, and you'd like to be a part of the project, feel free to drop me a line and we'll see if we can slot you in somewhere.

When the tape project is in full swing, I'll be introducing a tape-cover design competition, so get those creative minds ticking. At the moment, the projected release date would be around the end of March.
